A note...

The desert landscape has been a constant in my life since I was three years old and my family moved from Brooklyn, NY to Sharjah, UAE. Our family outings to the desert make up some of my most cherished childhood memories.

Some of my favorite New Year's celebrations include sitting by the fire in the desert with childhood friends until the early morning hours, watching the fire blaze, listening to music, and reminiscing.

I am thankful for expansive and humbling landscapes like this.
